THE STORY BEHIND UNRUSHED PLACES

Identity

A slower way to see, experience
and remember a place.

& STORYTELLER

As a Singapore-based photographer and storyteller, I have always been drawn to the quieter moments that surround us; the details often overlooked when we move through a place too quickly.

My work has always been about observation: the changing light along a street, the rhythm of a neighbourhood, the textures of an old building, the way a city sounds in the morning, and the small moments that reveal something about how a place is lived in.

Unrushed Places was created from this same perspective.

It began with a simple belief: some places deserve more than a checklist.

Beyond the landmarks and the places we are told to visit, there are stories found in quiet streets, local neighbourhoods, long walks, familiar rituals, changing seasons and the spaces between one destination and the next.

Through Unrushed Places, I document cities, neighbourhoods and journeys not only as places to visit, but as places to understand, experience and remember.

INTENTIONAL

For Those Who Want To
Experience A Place More Deeply

A meaningful journey is rarely defined by how much we manage to see.

It is often found in the moments between plans — an early walk before the streets become busy, an afternoon spent wandering without a fixed route, a neighbourhood that slowly reveals its character, or a place that makes you stay longer than expected.

Unrushed Places explores destinations through this lens: focusing on atmosphere, culture, neighbourhoods, movement and the details that give each place its own rhythm.

Whether it is a familiar city seen differently, a quiet street beyond the usual itinerary, a slow weekend somewhere nearby, or a journey worth travelling further for, the intention remains the same:

To discover places that encourage us to move more slowly, notice more and experience where we are with greater attention.
A SLOWER APPROACH

Travel Beyond
The Checklist

In a world where travel is often reduced to rankings, itineraries and lists of things to do, Unrushed Places takes a different approach.

We believe the most memorable places are not always the most famous.

They are the ones that reveal themselves with time.

01

The neighbourhood that becomes more interesting the longer you walk.

02

The street that feels different early in the morning.

03

The small details that explain more about a city than its landmarks ever could.

04

The unexpected stop that becomes the part of the journey you remember most.

05

The moments that cannot always be planned in advance.

Unrushed Places is about making room for those experiences.

It is a collection of destinations worth understanding, neighbourhoods worth wandering, journeys worth taking slowly and places worth giving time to.
